Play Releases/Getting Down/Sportsbooks

It’s no secret that our plays steam quickly, so here are a couple of tips to help you beat the steam.

Firstly, use the rotation numbers I provide.  All you need to know is a rotation number in order to make your play.  This is what my releases look like in an e-mail inbox:

play gmail

I put the play in the subject of the e-mail, so just grab the rotation number and go; there’s no reason to open the e-mail until you have submitted your play.  I include other info in the body of the e-mail, but it isn’t nearly as time-sensitive as getting your bet in.  You can come back and read the rest of the e-mail after you place your bet.

Use your computer to aid you in finding the rotation number you are looking for quickly.  CTRL+F will pull up a search field on your browser that will search for whatever you tell it to on the page you are currently viewing.  So on the play I posted a picture of above you would hit CTRL+F and type in “966” while viewing your betting odds page.  The search box pops up in different places on different browsers, but it functions the same.

I won’t link the books here, because I don’t want to be accused of having affiliates at these sportsbooks.  You will need to copy the address, or google the sportsbooks I mention, for yourself.

If you are in Vegas, you must sign-up for the Westgate Superbook app.  They offer the best MLB and NHL lines in Vegas.  This app is particularly valuable for NHL.  Just search “Westgate Superbook” in the app store to download it, but you will need to visit the Westgate to sign-up/deposit/withdrawal.  Here is the Westgate’s address: 3000 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

Here is a list of the books where you will want to have accounts, in order to get the released lines.  I ranked them by utility.

  1. (the best)
  2. (good lines, decent limits, and low vig on chalky lines)
  3. (reduced vig on game day, but lower limits on reduced lines)
  4. (good lines, but very low limits; better than 5Dimes for overnight releases)
  5. (bad lines, but you can pick off some skewed in our favor, high limits)

It isn’t hard to get our MLB numbers, because there are a ton of places that offer 10-cent lines.

NHL is trickier, because there are less book that offer 10-cent lines.  You will need and/or for overnights. is an overnight option, but the limits are very low.  Again, the Westgate Superbook app is extremely valueable for NHL betting in Vegas.

I’m new to your site and just paid for the Thanksgiving special. How does the whole process work? What else do I need to do?
